Hi everybody, so far behind I don't think I will ever catch up.
Totally nothing on my shopping lists for this weekend - not even a wild goose to go chasing. I did though have a small stash tidy up so at least that's something.
I did want to ask if anyone has had or has at the moment a relative who lives in a care home who is suffering from depression. My Dad has been like this now for the last 2 weeks and I've no idea how to think or react or what to do or even what to think.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Results of my A v S shop from last night below - I bought the wrong enigma ice creams (should have bought cookie and chocolate as they are £1.49 at S).
You needed to buy ice creams this week:eek::eek:
Tesco express had a good deal earlier in the week;)0 -

For anyone thinking of buying Yorkshire Ham, on MYS it shows as comparing against T at £1, but comes up N/A on the APG, so you can only buy it on a A v S shop.
I also had one of my best wombling expeditions. I only found 3 receipts and each one was profitable with a total of £7.14.

If you really must have Southern Fried Breaded Chicken Steaks, as opposed to the 'ordinary' Breaded Chicken Steaks (we're talking about fresh stuff here), you can (if outside N Ireland) try T's SF Breaded Chicken Steaks 505g for a possible few pence to the PP vs M. M's version is £2.49, for 5g less, but no adjustment for weight applies. So 5g more for £2.49 if they compare. However, that still works out more expensive than a much larger size from A, when used as part of A's 3 for £10 deal (or, perhaps, even better when part of that deal but with one other item, way cheaper elsewhere, plus a trigger that doesn't feature on the comp.):rotfl::rotfl:.
It's also more expensive than the straight price from T on the 505g plain Breaded Chicken Steaks. They're £2.40 in T - and don't compare them vs Morries or you might lose 9p. But of course, none of it is any good, because a year ago, they were £2.00 according to msm.
And none of it is going onto the M list, because it's just not any good to go for the SF version (being more expensive!). Of course, what you ought to do is try whoopsies.0 -
Mhoc sorry to here your dads so down, can't help really, depression is such a hard illness to cope with as it's cause can be so personel, maybe if you could get him to open up about whats troubling him or what has triggered this feelings.Remember that there is no rule that says you need to feel or think in a particular way just do what you feel is right for him and you.The person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0

tigerwhite wrote: »Quoting myself but I've just been reading T&Cs on this cream moc. here are none. it's got no validity dates and no store names so the best return would be to buy in A at 50p, use 30p moc and it compares against 44p in M. Under 10p for a pot of cream :T
Nice one!:) Let's hope APG picks up the M price.
(My own hunch is you stand better chance of that than on T PP.)0
