Is Skye the island with all the distilleries on it. I remember seeing a documentary about some island with at least eight distilleries.

The local pubs had about 300 different whisky brands they don't bother to sell off-island because they're the single malts that are mixed to make the various blends.

In my Scottish hols my fave tipple was Schiehallion lager. It's marketed down south as a supermarkets own brand craft lager. Am I allowed to say that?

Dont see why not.....there's no sweary words in it :D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    You're thinking of Islay

    Ardbeg
    Bowmore
    Bunnahabhain
    Bruichladdich
    Caol Ila
    Laphroaig
    Lagavulin
Port Ellen (closed but still has annual releases)

Skye just has Talisker (I say "just" but it's lovely stuff)
