Well - with me doing Avs M, vs W and vs T shopping, my next shop is scheduled to be Avs S (it'll be that, barring any urgent glitches of course:D:rotfl:). Not too happy with the 4pack Pink Lady apples though - I had them in my sights as S's 2 for £3 offer ended a few days ago and then went to £2.90 straight:(, on msm - now a few days on, the 2 for £3 is back (displeased!). Why can't S do a straight half price offer??!? Bring it on S!
I was going to hope for 1 pink lady 4 pack from A, together with another item in the 2 for £3 A offer (whatever that is now that the Tompkin toms have appeared on msm). Need an individual price hike in A too on the Pink Ladys.
Some okay news was found in M on the fruit. Savers apples packs - although now 99p (were 84p) now found some at a bit over 750g. Also found some Sweet pears packs at £1 (weighed in at around 800g). Plus the 'BPBV' Oranges packs still on £1. At least I've got my fruit! Saying which - as I undoubtedly cause a number of people to go to M for them (but got my purchase in), stock permitting - the Cif Ultrafasts were pretty thin on the ground in my A tonight. Wonder if people are knowing what to buy??0 -
Right - I saw a really good Svs A item earlier. Now it turns out it's clear why - MSM had a Sains multipack product comparing to an individal A item. So, sadly, the £2.10+ difference, refunding to 25p price in A, hasn't come off.
Nonetheless, while not welcome news, at least I don't need to go through all of the various flavours and check each for S and A (and checking the exact sizes of each as S BMtch can be very strict on size/weight!).
So, although now without what would have be excellent items (they were some of the individual Dole pots BTW), an Svs A list may start appearing here (and don't forget if shopping in A, outside of N Ireland, I wouldn't allow A to distract you by their offer onto the Dole pots when the Hartley's RTE jelly pots are back at 24p in M - Avs M onto them!! It's this sort of thing that I find quite fun:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::D:rotfl: - it makes me quite like the APG because of it (it makes shopping quite fun and not the boring chore it was before all this) and therefore causes me to like A in the event anyway).
Although:
Svs A (some eye-watering price differences found here - mainly towards the end of this list - are these (e.g. the Jergens) really the A prices on a.com??) Plenty to mess with our A wombles I'm afraid...

55p N/A
Sainsbury's Basics Cornflakes (500g)

£1.50 N/A (but Bird's Eye Extra Large Breaded or Battered vs M's £1.49 (T £1.50 last time I looked) would work out cheaper if APG compares like that - still need to update myself on the latest position though there)
Flora Light Spread (1Kg)
£3.00 £2.00 (with MSL half price?)
Flora Original Spread (1Kg)
£3.00 £2.00 (MSL half price?)

Pedigree Schmackos Multi Meat Flavour (20 per pack - 172g)
£1.50 £1.00 (but not very much gs)
Ace Gentle Stain Remover (1L)
£1.00 N/A (but check a.com very carefully, as this is one of those infernal items that goes on and off and msm seems to have difficulty picking it up on a.com - which Sains BM sadly may have no difficulty doing!)
Pedigree Schmackos with Beef (20 per pack - 172g)
£1.50 £1.00 (not many gs)
Bakers Sizzlers Tasty Bacon Flavour (120g)
£1.69 £1.00 (even fewer gs than the above)

£6.00x2 Any 2 for £6.00

£1.50 N/A (but other versions, sizes Avs S are usu. 10% cheaper per L)
Wilkinson Sword Finest Bristle Shaving Brush
£4.29 £3.20 (but see whether A is really at lowest price on this - have they been cheaper?)
2xSensodyne Rapid Relief Mint Toothpaste Tube (75ml)

£2.96 £1.50 (quite expensive though?)
Oral B Advantage Plus Medium 35 Complete Clean Toothbrush
£3.00 £1.00 (other toothbrushes at £1 in A, and should have been cheaper still buyiung in Avs another when another on 85p, but this nonetheless included here because of the difference in price, without any implication that it is - or isn't - good value. You decide!)
Mates Variety Condoms (12)
£7.00 £3.00
Mates Intensity Condoms (12)
£5.99 £4.00 (price reduction in A - was £4.99)
Or free ones from family planning centre.

£1.00 N/A
2xSainsbury's Chicken Bite Snack Bag (5x60g)
Any 2 for £1.00
Any whoopsied Sains own brand items that represent good value on the price you get them for in S.
I'm sure some good BMs can be worked out of this!! Def. not all in one shop though - msm showing Sains bill of nearly £140 for all this lot vs A being at about £87! (Although msm does occasionally include substitutes - sometimes more expensive ones at the rival, in this case at A.) And apparently £57 more expensive on the 'switch stores and save' function on msm - well, obviously, I won't be switching the stores then! Buying in S on an A comp, with care versus a.com.
Good luck with your shopping!!:):)0 -
Savvy - you still on here?
You're as bad as me, methinks often worse. Insomnia surely is a female dog!
I'm going to try and get a few hours sleep as running on empty - trouble is I'm awake and mind working overtime as usual. Just wish I could switch off.
Right I'm turning the light out. Savvy - go to bed!0 -
Good morning .
Up early ready for the move :eek:Never pay more than you have too0 -

I'm still here!:) Very sorry to hear your sleep problems - just hope some doctor or sleep centre can help.
I'm ignoring your 'go to bed' I'm afraid - been here hard doing some additional Svs A finding! All my best work... (in middle of night!).
I know it gives absolutely no consolation, but I sleep like a light when I go to bed. Obviously, like many of us I suspect, I occasionally have the odd troubled night (very warm weather at night etc.) - I'm just on my more natural time zone to me (actually a little late as 3am is usually my cut-off - I can freestyle at it when not having to stick to daily 9-5 routine).
Although we're told 8 hours is what we should get (and even that some study told us 9 hours as 'something special' happens in the 8th to 9th hour that the brain really needs), I stopped worrying about sleep when I discovered about a year ago that - before the Victorians put us into an 8-hour ritual - humans' natural sleep is 4 hours, then an hour or a little more wike aware doing things, then another 4 hours. They found this when they isolated volunteers in total darkness (I think?) with no access to clock or watch information - people always settle down to a 4 hour sleep, awake, then another 4 hour. So - not to worry if you only got a few hours (and we all tend to think we sleep for less than we actually do, once we go to sleep). If I wake up after four hours (and usu. I sleep long, deep sleeps, much to your probable annoyance sorry), I just think it's getting back to my (and everyone else's) proper medieval rhythm (before society forced us into something else).
I'm (slightly?) autistic anyway so I suspect my melatonin is on a completely different level. I'm not so bad that it's impossible to follow normal society when needed, but I do more naturally go to a slightly different wake time setting - and I'm an extreme night-owl (albeit not even more than extreme to amount to inability to follow society's requirements).
Here's a link for more on the '4 hour sleep cycle':

:hello:Okey doke - I've left you with some extremely good info, for the second day running.
Some potentially "brilliant" Sains. BM vs A shopping list there - to be checked vs a.com as that's the stage I never reach.
While you enjoy your shopping (with hopeful success, wherever it's at) I think I'll get some good sleep!!
See you later:):wave::wave::wave:.0 -
