Maybe it was the update they did on tuesday

Maybe I suppose. They can't be out of stock at all the Morries they check though, surely? I'm sure I saw some in my local M's yesterday.
Ah well, I paid with Apg's courtesy of JC's so can't complain.

    It's only a game

Different base, I thought they would want them all to taste the same?

    Back again!:D
There's a one hour video of a lecture/talk by a professor online that explains why companies have lots of different varieties of a product; although it relates to the different pasta/ketchup sauces, it's the same point! (Of course I spent an hour watching it some time back.)

They're catering for all different ranges of taste and thus bringing all of them within their marketing base. On the one hand, yes they would all want them to taste good to the people drinking them, so that they buy them again (that's pretty obvious) - companies like this do, of course, very very extensive market research and make sure they have the right mix. On the other, there's something about differentiation - whether or not the product is really different - both from competing brands and, I suppose, from different varieties of your own brand too. So that people perceive a difference and buy yours - or perceive differences between the different varieties of yours and perhaps try more than one of them. In Coke's case they also have the 'secret recipe' trade secret to say they are the 'real thing' and to protect their brand image and, consequently, how much ultimate consumers buy their product.

This is of course without getting into whether own brands, or value ranges, are the same or are made in the same places and people have different subjective tastes and preferences in these regards too (whether or not there really is any difference).

Cant understand the snobbery re coke in a bottle or coke in a can. I have not had either for 5 weeks but I can say water now tastes good straight from the tap. I did stock up on coke zero for me and caffeine free for dd.

I hate them too. How do they get in your ears btw?

That's why I pick them a little early and strip them wearing rubber gloves. The longer you leave them the more bugs you get and then it puts me off eating them.

That's why I stopped growing broccoli. Green maggots on my Sunday lunch. Never again:eek:

tried to delete, but 2 of you were too quick. last time I looked there was a slight difference in calories (years ago) but they are the same now. but as I said kjoules are different, strange. I know fc ask ds2 why:D

Im asking him nothing now. It's 1 minute past bed time.........I don't fancy a half hour conversation about calories and kilojoules at this time of night :rotfl:

No they wouldn't, there is nothing on the receipt to indicate a PP was produced.;)

It's the same in Sainsbob with the brand match system too...
food for thought, might suggest it to the top man
:A you can get an instant result check on line as we all know. so a simple program on there scanners surely would tell them if you had a pp. put it another way. if I were behind cs desk I could tell you within a minute if you had one. assuming they have internet of course.
but all that said they NEVER check it. but they can
