DD1 just got her results. Much better than I'd thought:

Merit for BTEC Health and Social
    C for Science and RE
    Pass for IT
    D for English and Maths

This is enough to get her onto the college course she wanted although she will still have to study Maths and English there.

Actually I'm so proud of her as she has really struggled through school. Was unable to read AT ALL until year 3 and Maths has been like quantum physics for her. She has a problem with her memory - very little sticks. So for her to get a C is akin to someone else getting an A*!(to me anyway) :T:T

:) Sounds just like my DD. Having 2 very academic older sisters. especially DD2 who never got anything lower than an A, it has been very difficult for her especially with everything else that happened this year. Had tears in my eyes before she got her results as worried for her, I knew the other 2 would be ok.

    Congratulations to your DD. :T

    Afternoon all,

Hope you're all enjoying your cokes, my DS very occasionally gets 'normal' coke but not the glitching ones as they have too many artificial sweetners that sets him off with various issues, so we won't be enjoying this glitch.

Sahah…75, thinking of your DS and especially his friend. :(

Izzy, thanks for thinking about my DS’s GCSE’s….. he’s almost done as expected.

Already had his E. Language C and Maths B

Today he went in for results.
Nothing failed and a list good of C’s, although we are gutted about his science which we had higher hopes for…. It’s broken down into 4 parts, 3 of them passed at a B grade, only the biology bit let him down giving him a D, (which he said was a tough exam that most of his mates struggled with too.) So overall was given a science C grade. Wondering if he had got a C in the Biology paper would he have got a B overall?

Oh well, he’s always struggled with concentration, but he is also very clever when he puts his mind to it, which he couldn’t seem to do in a school environment. Just usually got into trouble for drifting into his own world.

Well done to your DD3 Tinyshoes and your Nephew Mimi, and anyone else who picked up results today that I may have missed or not yet seen yet as only caught up to 11.30am. :p
