Good morning Elite. Trying to be sunny here.

We are getting really frustrated with Thomas Cook. We had a delay of 26 hours on the way to Cuba last year (we were on a plane that was turned around and had to catch another flight the next day). The pilot stated that he had wanted to carry on to Cuba but Ops had ordered him to turn around. The pieces of paper TC gave us said it was for operational reasons. The CAA found in our favour a month ago and handed it back to TC. We chased TC yesterday and what did they say - they are still investigating !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I suspect this may end in court.

    Morning paw sniffers,

TS...you have my sympathies with your megabus carry on. A very similar thing happened with my DD. she made a connecting train with only seconds to spare after the megabus was running an hour late. She was soaking wet waiting for the bus in the first instance as there was no bus stop and like you I was preparing for a 200 mile trip if she has missed her last connecting train.

There is cheap and cheerful but sometimes there is only cheap!

    Anyway pleased all is well.

Hope you are feeling well too Elsie:A

Mimi.....you sound positive this morning. Hope you have a decent day:)

Thank TM, I would not have had a 200 mile trip thank goodness if connecting train had been missed. Last time she went I don't think the train for first leg of the journey was an option. We dropped off and picked up from Southampton.

Anyway all is well and she had a fabulous time seeing everyone up in Newcastle on the cheap. :rotfl:

She is off again this week to see DD1 in Dorking, driving there and then next week has a trip to Paris booked. She is making the most have her last proper summer holiday. ;)
  • hey do u not find the waters "colder than the kettle" not boilling:eek:

we have one and i make o/h use it for him:o;) but if i want a cuppa as well normaly bot 3 over a year:eek: we use our kettle as the water isnt hot enough for me in the breville , also if we have guests i use kettle as i hate the noise they make:o and im forever overfilling the cups :rotfl::rotfl:

as i tell o/h tea/coffie making isnt in my blood as i dnt drink it :rotfl::rotfl:

NO - It's scalding hot - you sure yours is a Breville?
It'll only dispense when it boils - the pressure of the steam is what sends the water out. If anything I find it's hotter than a kettle as you get a little bit of steam into the mug first, hence that warms it.

Carling 20x440ml A £15.00 v M £11.00, will wait until Thursday so the apg machine catches up.

Now just £12 in A and with £4 cashback on MSL :money:

Even better if your £11 in M gets picked up (£5.90 for 20 cans after APG and c/b!)

I'm catching up but can't see any of you talking about this O2 priority moments offer £4.99 for 6 wines.

It has been expired but peeps saying still working.

Looks like only available to those with O2 app. :(

    http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/6-pack-wine-rrp-60-for-4-99-delivered-with-o2-priority-moments-1635898?page=5#comments

Wish I had a smart phone as I'm on O2. Will have to wait for DD2 to get in from work and try later. Not sure if DD3 will have offer as she is under 18 and not sure I want to wake her up, as we were all up late last night.
