    Hi

I've always been a bit of a bargain hunter, and did always think I was quite good at it!

That was before I came across the elite a couple of months ago. I'd like to thank you for all the help you've been recently.

Just did a Muller shop today as I saw the signage was showing as 6 for £3 or 10 for £4.

Was going to work out how much it had cost me before I thought I'd do it aloud on here.

One thing I've noticed with mysupermarket is that they can only show one offer at a time eg the babyfood in sains is 5 for £3 or 12 for £6. But it only used to show as 5 for £3 and the other offer wouldn't compare, and now 12 for £6 and 5 for £3 doesn't compare(Probably old news!)

Anyway, the old offer for muller compared 6 at 50p and 4 at 68p. It meant that you'd get 10 mullers for £1.34(5.72-3.06=2.66apg, 4-2.66=1.34), so 13.4p each

The new offer is 5 for £3, or 8 for £4, though mys has chosen the latter. Therefore buying 8 will cost £2.45(4-2.45=1.55apg 4-1.55=2.45), so 30.6p each.

However, if you buy 5, then the multibuy isn't recognised. Therefore, 5 will cost you £1.13(3.40-1.53=1.87apg, 3-1.87=1.13), so 22.6p each. Not as good, but not bad if you enjoy Muller anyway.

Now, if you see the old signage still up, then it benefits you to get 6, as opposed to 10. Should you get 10, you'll end up getting 10 for £4, plus a £2 gc, costing you £2. You'll get an apg of £2.30, meaning you'd be paid 30p to take 10 away.

However, get 6 and you'd end up getting 6 for £3, plus a £2 gc, costing you £1. An apg of £2.24 would mean you've been paid £1.24 to take the mullers away.

Along with my gift card, they gave me back £1.08, instead of 35p and added to that, it states on the receipt that it took 73p off for 5 mullers. With each costing 68p, surely it should be 40p to take it to £3 for 5. Still trying to get to the bottom of that.

Sorry, that was a bit long winded. Hope it might be of use to someone.

Edit: Having thought of it, if 73p come off for the 5 for £3 multibuy, it should mean £2.67-£1.87apg, costing 80p for 5, so 16p each.

I will, I'll do it tomorrow. Jeez I'll have published this book in instalments on here by the time I get round to writing it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ah but think how many purchasers you already have from here!
I rarely post re. your posts but I've had very many a giggle & tonight I needed a good belly laugh & I had one.
It's SO good you can always see the funny side of things. I bet your boy is a trip!

Savvy - I hope you haven't forgotten you're writing one too!

I could write a book about what happened to us BUT nobody would believe it, I'm not sure I actually do. Everyone would think it's too far fetched. It's too painful to write about at moment but maybe one day?

Love a bit of golden brown, I had a tetanus injection the month that was released, still remember standing in the queue in the playground, and my leg was burning. Strange really, since I cant remember what happened yesterday :p

I like sharing on here. I have no family or real friends to share with. Like alot of us, this forum has been a real lifeline for me :A

If you ever do feel like sharing, you should. I love everything I read here. We are such a diverse bunch with so many different stories. I read all of them :)

We are all different. I find life painful most days but I do like to lean heavily on the fun side of it to see me through. I honestly don't think there's such a thing as far fetched here. I wonder how many if us have thought 'you couldn't make it up' :)
