My father used to work for a company that made components for planes. We watched Concorde take off for the first time (though you would not have got my father on it, he was coerced into signing an air-worthiness certificate for one of the components :eek:), every time Farnborough was on we got to go to the trade days and I was in freebie heaven, even at the age of 7 (the first time I went with him).
How fab! That must have been an amazing experience! Concorde, that is.......although the freebies must come a close second:D
I lived on air bases my whole childhood. My Dad was aircrew on Nimrod squadrons mostly. Ive seen and been on some fab aircraft over the years0 -

Its when you suffer great pain that afterwards, you feel the bliss. I hope that makes sense. In other words, if anybody is going through pain, just know that it wont be forever and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I love you all on here. The support and love shown to me, has brought tears to my eyes.
I'll finish with a Winston Churchill quote: If you are going through hell, keep going.

I could tell you about my little find today.
But seeing as the stores are closed, and I don't want the @sda spies to mess with the price overnight
I'll tell you in the morning...
You could PM me and I'll go check your findings seeing as I have access to 24 hour A's:rotfl::rotfl:
Evening all

Yesterday and today we've had the Typhoon too, but we've only been able to hear it
Just posted earlier about having been to Blackpool air show. Heard the Typhoon today before we saw it but when we did see it, it def had the wow factor in bucketloads lol. The skill of the pilot was amazing - it literally stopped the traffic0 -

Evening all,
Just a flying visit to remind you about the ISS passing from 10.13 to 10.19. I would like to thank all the OP's that started posting info on here about this, as I have been on a learning curve and some of what I have taught myself is back on post 2 of this thread.
I am about to get ready to go out to a spot I found the other day to try to photograph it but it was too cloudy then! The sky is slowly clearing tonight, although still quite cloudy. I'm just going to give it a try and see what it's like when i'm there, as we should have the bonus of the meteors at the moment as well.
Hopefully after that I can come back and have a catch-up, although I need to be up early in the morning to make a doctors appointment (hopefully) as I am really getting fed up with my trigger finger problems. Its getting so painful to type and gets fixed solid either straight or bent at night time especially, so I think I defo needed it sorted with injections now.:(
