postman has just brought me a cheque from HMRC for £70 ( why I have no idea?? will worry about that later)
6 weeks worth of £8 off £40 spends at Sainsbos. I don't shop there often, so they must be missing me. I'll have to have a look at how best to use them
I'll have to stop shopping in Sains - I haven't had that for a year! No good now - they keep trying and trying to tempt me with '120 points for a £30 shop' (in other words, just 60p:(), I did go for that the first time round, but I'm ignoring it constantly now in the hope that they'll eventually bring it down to extra points for something more reasonable, such as a £20 shop:D. Had three of the 120 for £30 blighters already offered to me in the last week - two of them on the same day:eek:.0 -

MarkZ123 Hope you're ok. My best friend of 20+ years has epilepsy (was diagnosed at 17) and manages it really well. It is a bummer about the drivingbut hopefully you'll quickly find the drug regime that works for you in order to remain seizure free and get your licence back.
Well done to all those whose DCs have got the A level results they were hoping for :T and commiserations to those who didn't0 -

My advice is to check your tax code first, last year HMRC sent out quite a few wrong tax codes to people
Some part time workers often get put on a BR week / month 1, the tax you paid depends on what tax code you are on and what your total income for the year, this can include wages income, pensions, benefit s in kind
You can call HMRC if you think your tax code is wrong, the number can be found on the HMRC website
If you need any more help just let me know
Thanks VC, I don't and never have understood tax. I get expenses when I do work and that confuses me as well.
This is mild compared to what I had last year. I stopped working part way through the year and had been paying tax at the higher rate, but then the end if the year came and I should have paid part year at the higher rate and part year at lower rate.....or something like that!
I got 2 letters in the same week. One said I'd underpaid and owed tax and the other was giving me a rebate because I'd overpaid0
