Hmm. It could be that I'd frozen it. Most things I buy whoopsied, end up straight in the freezer, and then we use up as time goes by. We have two freezers and all the new stuff goes into one, and then we move stuff out. I feel a bit ashamed to say this, but we've got stuff in the freezer from a year ago! I find that meat is ok. (apart from steak which always seems to take my fillings out, its that tough!), but FISH! Urgh. Last week, we cooked some fish that had been in the freezer for about 13 months. It was disgusting. I did a google search and it turns out, things get freezer burn. I'd not heard that phrase before.

So a word of warning to all who read this site. Yes! Get your bargains. Get your whoopsies. BUT keep in mind the stuff you buy, and USE it before it spoils! Unlike US!

Didn't get round to mentioning this either, as I don't like really hot curry which Mr TS made with the old steak I had organic salmon fillets and they were just as old nearly a year in freezer. They tasted fine and no ill effects this morning.

I do think because they were the style of packaging from Ts that shrink wraps around the fish in a black tray so no air around the fish made a difference. There was no freezer burn at all. I have had freezer burn on fish that has plenty of room to roll around in the clear plastic trays with plastic on top. They are way to big for that kind of thing.

Will take advice from the poster (sorry can't remember who) that said they take things out of original packing and shrink wrap themselves. It definitely makes a difference. :)

    Hi Del,
I cant help about B'ham. You wont be able to use the T vouchers in A. I assume they wont scan as they are different b/c's, plus it does say T on them and you are likely to get trouted. Keep your head down, don't get on their list already! Slowly slowly catchy monkey (whose phrase is that?)

Oooh yes I remember those. I did not have enough room to freeze any so could only get a few but they were lovely. Think I got different flavour though, wasn't there a chicken one?
