your forgeting the most important bit "they would pay nearly £5 block for cheese" and your were saving them huge HUGE amounts ;)

i think of it more Robbin hood style if a friend hits hard times then i will just do a box load drop off and take nothing , but do sell if its just they want it as its always cheaper than what they will pay THEY WONT DO THE LEG WORK AND COUPONS ARE A NONO for them

friends hate it when i use coupons if we go shopping when out lol :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: they always ask if im shamed

and they give em there tesco money off voucher from the tills .;)

That first bit is a very good point.

And I completely agree with the second. There have been times I've invited a friend round 'for a drink' with the intention of letting them do a trolley dash in the spare room as I know they're having it tough. And I donate bags of fillers and other things to the food bank around the corner every month.

I once took a friend who was struggling financially for an APG shop at ASDA. I even gave him the initial £20 outlay to do the shop required (it was in the 32p Ambrosia days). He was amazed at the results and seemed to 'get' it - that we'd do it again the next day and he'd pay pennies that time and get a big voucher back, and again the day after and so on. I was quite pleased I had a shopping partner.

We met up the next day to go shopping and he said...

'This is great! I went back to ASDA last night and bought a tonne of socks with my APG voucher.'

    I wanted to hurt him.

Happy birthday Sarahdol75, hope you've had a lovely day.

Sorry to hear of your ordeal queen of cheap. Similar happened to me when I was on a coach once. I threw my trousers away when I got to my destination. I knew that I'd never wear them again, even if I washed them a hundred times. Not very MSE but had to be done :(

Too true, I've gathered that much today. I've got enough with one man and the only thing I'd have more of is dogs as they're always loyal, faithful, give you a wonderful greeting when you've been out and hardly ever sulk.

    You've described me to a tee! :D

Oh dear, I gave up long ago trying to explain APG to anyone, but I do have a few occasional shopping partners, Debsjc, Dodo and Truffle Hunter. All Elites I'm afraid. ;)

Just had a thought though aaarrrggghhh, had you not already supplied your friend with 4p socks. :rotfl:

I did mention it earlier that one of DD3s bones has not shown signs of healing yet on the xray, have now been frightening myself by googling what might need to happen if it does not heal. :(

Anyone had the same problem or kids that have, it has been nearly 12 weeks since she broke her arm. Other bone is ok. Not sure whether radius or ulna us the problem as doctor did not put xray up on screen today.
