Very true aaarrrggghhh. Definitely a lot of hours put in but I do like that I can choose when to put them in. It has caused a few cross words between me and my OH before now though.

Evening all! I hope you've all had a great day. Just catching up on what I've missed and I caught this post. When I first started extreme couponing and wombling, Stan used to be with me. He refuses to come shopping with me now at all. I prefer it this way. As when he's with me, we end up with biscuits, cakes and all manner of things we can do without.
He also used to find it very embarrassing when I'd be stooping under cars, rolling under trolleys, and rummaging through hedges, not to mention the odd bin, for receipts!
These days, he's often standing at the door - ready to carry my shopping in for me! He's often very surprised at what I come home with. I also do a lot of whoopsy shopping. Very rarely pay full price for anything since finding this thread! If you're prepared to swap brands, try something new, be inventive, you can eat very cheaply!

I wasn't confident enough to say "Hi" as it may have been just coincidence that I saw you using coupons and the cereal in your trolley and didn't want to make a fool of myself. I grabbed 3 or 4 mags as I got several at weekend, but there's no coupons in this one to interest me unless they start giving the goods away for free. I think you would have noticed me as I'm fairly tall with blonde hair, just a shame I'm knocking on in years. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Mr TS must be coming round to my way of thinking as he did do a targetted shop for the meal deals with me when the red wine first started comparing on PP.
But the time before that we somehow came home with a bottle of single malt whisky. Needless to say he does not shop with me often. :rotfl:0 -

This rings so true. My partner was forever giving large chunks of our stash away to visitors, family and friends. It took about 9 months for it to sink in that the reason we have this stuff NOW is to save us money in the future. Now, we can happily pop into the corner shop spare room for a shower gel when we need it rather than having to plan ahead or nip out to get an overpriced bottle from elsewhere.
It's great to help out parents too - especially after all they've done for us over the years.
This was me! Last Christmas, I gave away nearly all my dishwasher tablets and shower gells, shampoos and what-not. Then I was left having to BUY dishwasher tablets last month! It was only THEN that the penny dropped! Nowadays, I hide everything up in the spare room. If someone hints heavily that they want something, I'll let them have just the one. Not half of it, like I used to!

Problem is, when a smell gets up your nose, you can't get rid of it
There are some smelling salts around the house somewhere
