Good on the boy - seems very sensible, honest feedback. If the British weren't generally too soft to tell it how it is we might get better service !

Absolutely agree. Wrong example but if it was an item of clothing that was not up to scratch, most people would return it. The meal is an 'item' that you've purchased and the same applies. The way Claire has said that her son spoke to the waitress was fine - stating facts and not being rude. Sorry Claire, I think in this instance your son was 100% correct. Look at it another way. Experiences like that may put him off going out for dinner or end up thinking that 'it's all a rip off' IYSWIM. No criticism intended but he was speaking the truth.:o

I knew my good feeling would disappear. I went to visit Mum this afternoon and moved her to a different room. ( I offered to go round to help them do it. ) Anyway the only thing they cold not move was the tv but the lady told me to ask downstairs and they would do it. I told my sis who was visiting later to ask them again when she popped in.
So I popped in at 8. to see Mum and she was in her room but no tv. Apparently they cant do it till tommorow and although I would have done it myself i was not allowed to and of course sis forget to ask. Mum was sort of ok about it and has plenty of mags and papers i took in. I left her reading a magazine ( which she does not do often at home) and having a cup of t.
She is hoping to have plaster of on Friday ( fingers crossed) and although respite is booked for 2-3 weeks it seems my sisters both think she should come straight home and are feeding this to Mum. I would rather she stayed there at least another week to get used to the different Zimmer frame and so I can have some work done at hers. She needs a new toilet door ( a slider hopefully) as at the moment she has to leave the door open with her toilet frame and Zimmer in there and it is right inside the front door. I also selfishly would like another week to have some respite for myself. How selfish of me.
My oldest brother is with me on this and I think maybe I will just have to say I am her carer if anyone else wants to make decisions for her then take over from me full time.
On the plus side I got some powder from Cambridge to make a squash like drink. Nothing has tasted to good in weeks. Mmmm!!
