Misplaced loyalty

In my opinion if someone has all of their financial dealings with one institution then they are possibly missing out on some good deals. Like Martin Lewis says 'Loyalty pays them not you'. My day to day banking is with Barclays including my two credit cards. My ISA is with HSBC and my investments are with J P Morgan and I also have money in Virgin.



With the advent of Internet and mobile banking having your money spread about does not mean lots of leg work in town going from bank to bank. Next year I will review the ISA rates and if need be I will move the money elsewhere. It would be interesting to know what other readers think about the idea of having everything in one place.

I have the bulk of my stuff in one place, but will regularly tart myself out for savings and credit cards.

I should organise my current accounts more aggressively though.

The more you have with a bank the more profitable they are at your expense. Be a tart.
