Macbook Roboform settings

There should be a little roboform icon in the top left of the safari browser, under the back/forward buttons. If you click on that then you can see 'show in menu bar' then click down and it should show it.
If you haven't got it on your menu bar, I'll see if I can find out how to get it there!

I use Google Chrome on my Macbook Pro with it's standard auto-fill options (it saves my faves if I ever have to have the Macbook fixed). I am anxious about using Roboform as when I installed it, it slowed down my internet and a few days later my hard drive crashed and it had to be replaced and the Apple Store said it was due software on the Macbook. It may have been nothing to do with Roboform0

You can use auto-fill from the contact book on your mac too, if you wanted to go down that route?
If you begin typing in it says 'auto-fill with contact book' and your name and that fills it in

Thanks everyone for your help and comments.
Have adjusted Roboform settings and will check whether they work better.
Your comments have given me lots of food for thought.
With my new computer, I feel like there is so much to learn and settings to change.
I lost my list of Favourites and it took me ages to find them. Is there a way to have them on display and just click on the name (like on a PC)?
It's a real learning experience!0 -
On the toolbar at the top left of the screen there should be a pair of glasses. if you open up that you can add pages to your reading list, which acts very similar to the favourites on the PC
Don't worry, i've had my mac since march and i'm still getting used to it!0 -
Thanks again becca wecca.
Have clicked the glasses icon, and it looks like this might work for me instead of Favourites.
Do you know whether you can add Folders to this and place website links inside folders (like in Favourites)?
Really appreciate your help, there's such a lot to learn and become used to.
Good luck0 -
You might be better using bookmarks for your favourites. If you separate them out into different folders. Always visible on your toolbar at the top too.
I have daily, photo, weekly and soon to be advent (eek) - they are only really small so you don't really notice them, then you can just click on them. In between each section I have an empty book mark with ---- just to make them stand out a bit more. (Not really a mac thing but it might help if you're not use to using safari).
You might have to also download chrome. If you FB comp, sometimes app comps don't load in safari. But, it's never really an issue

I think that's more of a preference. I haven't found any difference between mac/windows roboform. But, I know a lot of people use lass pass, but, I don't need to remember passwords as they are all saved anyway.
Also, on safari when you open a new tab, you can pin your most visited webpages to the 'top sites'. Again, you just type in the address, hover over the webpage and click the little pin next to the picture of the webpage.

Thanks everyone for your comments.
I did import the Favourites folder from my PC and it's showing under Bookmarks (in the top bar). These don't seem to be as easily accessible though as they are when using my PC. It looks like you need to click the icon before you can see them. Is there no way to make them more visible and easier to click?
I may try Last Pass instead of Roboform. Like I say, it's all new to me at the minute. I couldn't even copy and paste before, everything is really different.0
