I joined cashback a few months back and am quite annoyed with the service. There is cashback due to me against two claims Diret Line and Weight watchers. None of them have been paid despite several months having passed. If I knew about this delay I would have never opted for these merchants since I was getting a cheaper deal from other merchants (without taking into account the cash back). I am now in a situation where I have paid more for a product and have not received the cash back. There is no contact number on this website and hence would request any help anyone can provide on how I can contact Top Cash back as well as expidite my claim

HAve others had similiar experience with them?

    You may be too late if you've left it for several months, but go to My Account/Customer care/Cashback Claims and click on 'View or Lodge Claim'.

    Follow the instructions and you'll get a reply pretty quickly - usually within 48 hours.

    I think they are getting worse than when i first joined them.Things arent tracking and a claim from Very is taking months.

    Some things do take months - and so far, in 5 years or so of using TCB, I think we've only had one claim fail.

    The key to cashback for many merchants is patience! But also to heed the advice given by Martin himself (on these pages somewhere) that you should regard the cashback as a bonus and not rely on it as you seem to be doing. Or certainly not until you've had some experience of it.

    You don't say whether your transactions have actually tracked - if they have tracked (i.e are listed in your account at TCB) then you're still in with a good chance of getting the cashback so there's no need to worry.

    If they haven't tracked then frankly it's unlikely anything will happen. You do need to be very careful to ensure the transaction tracks, especially if you've been comparing with other prices online on other websites - which can confuse the cookie trail and negate the cashback. I always use one browser just for cashback, clearing cookies automatically on closure, and (almost) never have problems with tracking.

    If something doesn't track within 5 days, raise a claim.

    It might be 'put on ice' for a couple weeks, but it's been raised.

    I use to think that but have found it fine now. What browser do you use? I use one browser only for topcashback (Internet Explorer) and use Chrome/Firefox for normal browsing. I think Internet Explorer might be best as it doesn't seem quiet as complex as the others in protecting your privacy so things might track better? Just use one basic browser for TCB and allow all cookies. Don't use the browser you use for TCB for anything else.

    Thanks.I use google chrome.Some things track fine.Have raised a claim for Very and sent nudges.Will see what happens.

  • It took nearly 6 months to get my cashback via Top Cashback from Tesco Homephone & Broadband, despite several messages from me asking why it was taking so long. It seems that TC were not at all concerned that they were not receiving their commission, which included my cahsback, from Tesco for that length of time. TC were unable to provide a cogent answer as to why it was taking so long. You just have to lump their failure to pursue reluctant merchants like Tesco.
