Hi all, I was wandering if anyone could give some ideas or knows of anyone letting out their caravan or chalet on 31at august for a week.....I would love to go near the beaches of either cornwall or devon, I looked at st.ives, rang it up as they had an offer on for young families of 4, got all through to paying the £267, then told me my daughter was two years too old to take up this offer!, the price then shot up another £200!.I came off that phone & balled my eyes out!....well, im struggling at the moment but desperatly need a break so does my family after what we have been through over the last few weeks, I have had such a terrible month & am feeling so stressed out, my husband has been very ill for a while now, my dear brother who i was very close too died suddenly three weeks ago & my lovely neighbour I used to help look after died last week, theres big one hell of a family fued over certain issues, & im sick of hearing of it all, just need to get away, cheapest time before the kids going back from their school holidays is 31st aug, but going for a week will mean that they will miss their first two days at school, but my doctor has suggested to try & take a break from it all, & the kids have done nothing all the holidays, bless them all this has happened around them too!.....Im looking for a vacant last minute caravan or chalet somewhere near the beach in cornwall or devon, it cant be overly expensive has I dont have the funds to go over £320ish .... its only for 4 people 2 adults & 2 kids age 8 & 11 , I would love it to be near a beach too!.... Ive been searching & searching & cant find anything in this price range, if anyone of you lovely people out there can help or know of anyone who would or could let out their holiday home at a reasonable price that isnt being used It would make feel so happy to get away from it all & I promise to take great care as I always do of anyones property..... Sorry to be on here asking for this big favour, but I know lots of people on here love to help out others, cos your all a good bunch, just so stressed & need a little beak, thanks guys for listening to me going on Xx Hope you all have a good week x

it's a really great place to stay, the beach is huge , also if you want to go to st ives you can get the train from leleant saltings, i think it's £8 for a family , much easier than tryng to park in st ives, although if you've got tons of stuff then you probably want to drive, also check out the beaches at carbis bay, porthcurno (stunning) and sennen cove, really nice place to eat there overlooking the beach, do great pizzas ,
have a great time ,0 -
Hi, not sure if it is too late but try Chy an Gwedhen as a B&B. If not try Travalgan as a campsite just out of St Ives. Great getaway location and near to tranquility as you can find. Hope all works out ok for you x0
