Post Office extends “Drop & Go” parcel service across UK

Has anyone heard of this, l know l certainly haven't

Post Office Ltd has rolled out its “Drop & Go” service to more than 10,000 post offices across the UK.

The service initially launched in February offers a fast-track pre-paid postage process for business customers and e-commerce merchants, including eBay PowerSellers.

It means customers who regularly spend more than £20 a week on postage can put money on a pre-paid card, and then when they are dropping off a parcel at a post office, need only swipe their card and hand in the parcel, rather than queuing for counter services.

I was given a leaflet about it by one of the staff when I was in the main Post Office in Darlington last week. She knew I posted stuff regularly so thought I might be interested in the service.
  • I like the idea of this (I spend £80ish a week in the Post Office), but our PO is so small and I go when they're not busy - I like to think they would miss chatting to me :rotfl:
But if I was living in a city with big queues I would definitely drop and run!!

Our post office has this, but there's never anyone there to take the parcels...
