The Real one Celeb on face book

Since so many fakers out there these days pretending to be celebs on face book, is there a way to know for sure if it is them or not?

thanks

Facebook have introduced 'verified' pages now in the same way as Twitter has.

That's not to say a page that isn't verified isn't genuine though.

Perhaps there's a facebook link on the person's own website (if they have one)?

...and even if it really is 'their' facebook/twitter etc page, in reality it will probably be being updated etc by their PR team and not the celeb themselves.

Even if the person is famous and real, then the chance is they are there or letting you become a buddy to manipulate the money out of your purse, buy their recommendations and perfumes etc, or have psychological issues.

A lot of the internet is advertising and promotion. Would guess they are really not your buddy, and most likely will not donate [STRIKE]their[/STRIKE] a kidney.

The real celebs fan base will have a PR machine tweeting and facebooking on their behalf as not to alienate or offend fans, plus keep the hype going.

Chances are the real celebrity has a fake account under another name, with no pictures or other identifying information whatsoever and very restricted as to who can see their content.

The "real account" will be a PR outlet.
