Installing a stud wall in a leasehold flat

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me. I own a large one bedroom flat. The flat is a leasehold property, the freeholders being an external company.
Our bedroom is fairly large and I am wondering whether it is possible to install a stud wall in the bedroom and therefore making a one bedroom flat into a two bed, albeit the second room would be a single room/study, perfect for our needs.
Looking through the paperwork from the freeholders it states 'Not to make any alterations or additions to the property without consent from the landlord and not make any structural alterations or additions to the buildings or alter the external appearance thereof'.

My questions are;
1 - As this is a leasehold property is this possible?
2- Is a stud wall considered as a structural alteration/addition.
3 - Do I need building permission/building regs approval?
4 - I assume I will need to gain permission from the freeholder to carry out these works

Any advice greatly appreciated

    1 - As this is a leasehold property is this possible? - Yes but not without consent from the landlord.

    2- Is a stud wall considered as a structural alteration/addition? No because it's not structural but in any case you'll still need consent from the landlord.

    3 - Do I need building permission/building regs approval? Almost certainly not.

    4 - I assume I will need to gain permission from the freeholder to carry out these works? Yes seeing as the freeholder is probably your landlord and you need consent from the landlord.

    Having now re-read my answers and your questions I'm not really that sure why you asked to be totally honest.

    There are requirements under building regs for window(s) , sound proofing , fire safety and - where studs run parallel to floor joists - structural support.
    Suggest you ask about this at your local office.

    If it's your flat, yers you can put in a stud wall. I did.
    Mine is leasehold, but I own part of the freehold.
