Why do online companies do this?

Ok, now I know the reason why.

Stovax have an internet policy about selling their product online. They have trading agreements with their retailers, stating that they cannot sell online. If they show it online, it must be without a price, they will only get a certain discount structure from stovax, meaning they are worse off selling it online, than the showroom. The main dealer selling stovax online is appliances direct. They also have a large showroom in Leicester. They are the main culprit for selling showroom only online, so will be on a bad discount structure.

If I were you, I would print off the pricing you have seen online and visit some of the local stovax stockist. If you want it supply only, no installation service and just delivered to your door, then they should be able to price match for you. Just don't expect them to offer a discount on It and fit it too.

Also before you buy online, read Stovax's warranty terms. They are very anti Internet sales and won't help you out if any problems. You will have to deal with the retailer ( if they want to know)
