Unlikely as it's the weekend. Worst case scenario it'll be a days interest, which will be pennies.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

Probably as Santander will hold the payment back from experience, but know what you're trying to do and would be better of with 0% OD with flex direct account :-)

It's complete rubbish to generalise like this. There's a thread somewhere about Santander's security hold-ups but to say they always hold up all payments at the weekend (which seems to be what you are saying) is just nonsense.

Point taken but if the OP wants a guarantee that the payment will reach Nationwide to avoid OD charges by 8.30pm tonight then this needs to be pointed out.

There is no such guarantee, regardless of the banks/BSs involved.

By law, they have to get your money to the recipient by the end of the next working day (unless they have reason to believe the payment is fraudulent, in which case it appears they can take forever).
