Cheapest way to run my iPhone?

Looking for suggestions. At the end of my o2 contract with my iPhone 4S, very happy to keep the phone but what are the best deals for running it. I use a lot of data so am tempted to try 3 as I'm fed up of being blackmailed by o2 to buy more data (was already paying £45 a month) and virtually every month I get a text saying i've used my allowance...these companies are so greedy :-( Any help appreciated.

£12 a month will get unlimited data on giffgaff

If you don't have unlimited data on your contract then of course they are going to tell you when you are reaching your limit but they only throttle the datarate right back when you have reached your limit they don't cut you off. If you wanted a lot of data why didn't you take an unlimited contract - oh because it would have cost more a month I suppose. Of course they are going to offer you more data (at a price). I'm with O2 and I get exactly the same messages from time to time. Why on earth haven't you got your 'phone talking to your WiFi when at home and use WiFi hotspots when out? Thats what I do, it doesn't count against my O2 data limit and I manage my useage so that I just use up all my O2 data that I'm paying for as the billing period restarts. Simples - you've used the wretched stuff. How can you justify accusing them of being greedy? Its nothing to do with O2 being "greedy" at all.FreebeeChaser wrote: »Looking for suggestions. Anyway the majority of your £45 a month is paying for the 'phone not your usage. At the end of contract? Keep the phone and go sim only with them at the cheapest rate but make sure you use Wifi when available. Shop around on Sim only deals though.

Thanks all....sound advice. I think I'll go down the sim only route and try using hotspots when I'm out and about, guess I'l have to review deals on that next. Never had much joy with free ones :-)0

Don't use it and just get a pay as you go for calls. :-)0
