Yeah, that's where I was up to!dealer_wins wrote: »Drink Driving is my best guess!!0 -
I had an options deal with Citroen years ago. Read your agreement, there should be a clause in it that says once 50% of the payments have been made you can hand the car back and cancel the contract.
Be aware though that every chip in the paint or dint will cost you when they examine the car, and hence you will be billed for it.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

When I took out the agreement obviously this was unforeseen, and due to unforeseen medical situations the dvla have taken my license pending a medical assessment. I will almost certainly get it back, but its just one of those things no one could have forseenOP can't drive until next year. Insuring and taxing vehicle for someone to take it round the block will cost even more.
OP - why did you buy a car that you can't drive?
£11,520 over 3 years is an expensive lesson.

I take offense at that assumption. I had an epilipetic fit actually and as theres a risk involved with driving it would put up my insurance premiums and such.opinions4u wrote: »Yeah, that's where I was up to!0 -
I'm just amazed how people sign agreements without knowing even the basics on what the agreement says! I guess a lot of people don't read the terms and conditions word for word - but you admit yourself that the agreement wasn't well explained to you - so why didn't you ask?0

To be fair, it was an easy guess to make, I thought it may possibly be the same myself.
As for the real reason, you have my sympathy.0 -

I add my apologies as well.opinions4u wrote: »My apologies for offending you.0 -
Sorry to hear about your situation and I do hope that you are given the all clear and are able to get back on the road asap.
I did a voluntary termination with RCI back in October and found it a very easy process as I was within my miles and the car was in decent condition (few chips etc). So voluntary termination at the 50% paid point may be your best/only option.
I cut my spending back as much as I could to save up some money to bring my agreement up to the 50% point so that I could VT early. In the end I just waited until it had naturally made the VT point but that may be an option for you as well.
I am no mechanic but it might be best looking into ways to make sure your garaged car stays mechanically sound.
All the best.Debt now £48,000 in the form of a mortgage

It would be unfortunate if the car were to be insured and written off.
I think you're gonna have to lump it OP, buying anything on HP is very silly.
