Im sorry but contribution based JSA is affected by savings. If you have over £16,000 you cant get it.0

If you have savings you can get contribution based for 6 months and no idea where the person for the figure of £300 a month from as JSA is 71.70 a weekWe’ve had to remove your signature. When I phoned up to sign on after I left my job, they asked me if I had over 16K in savings and I had to give them a bank statement when I went to the jobcentre.
Contribution based is the first JSA after you leave your job then it goes to income based after 6 months.
I thought income based JSA was for those that had less than 6K in savings.0 -

As others have said, CB JSA is not affected by capital. The only means testing that may affect it is (some) pension income.0 -

As I was not a party to the phone call I cannot answer that question, but I would expect they were also assessing your entitlement to IB JSA. It is standard to gather all the information on the first contact.0
