Double Glazing Companies in Birmingham/West Midlands

Hi,

I need to put new double glazing throughout in my house including folding doors, french doors, all windows etc etc.

Anyone recommend a company in Birmingham please. I need decent quality with good service as I have heard so many companies changing their names after couple of years.

I looked at weathershield in Coventry. Their prices seem o.k but no idea about their quality and service.

Many thanks in advance for your help and advice.

  • Hi

When we had ours done we used reliant windows in west bromwich, first time was 1997 and all subsequent works have been with them. Very good service and value.

Hi Thanks for the reply. I hope they don't do the hard sell.

Do you know if they do bi-fold doors at all?

    Thanks
  • i'm getting quotes at the moment and so far

Great Barr Windows have given me a good quote - £2,400 for 5 windows - victorian so massive as very tall, plus a bay window of 3 panes.

I have had a quote from Safestyle which didn't include bi-fold doors and the porch.

They wanted £6000. However lots of negative reviews online have put me off and I need bi-fold doors and porch.

I have also had a quote from a company called Hi Spec in Oldbury but I am reluctant to go with a company owned by asian/indians as I have heard number of cases where they go bankrupt after a few years and re-open under different names and service is non-existent after they have sold you the windows.

I'd rather pay a little more for long term quality and service.

Hi we used Energy Efficient Windows Sutton Coldfield, they were a tiny bit more than our other 2 quotes but it's all triple glazed as standard. (We live north Birmingham)

They didn't do the hard sell at all, he sent us a quote about 3 days after he came to measure.

    Good luck!

    Hi Docmatt,

How many windows and how much was it if you don't mind me asking. Gives me an idea whether they will be in my price range.:)

    Thanks

Diamond windows in droitwich I'm told are good on the aftercare if for some reason there are problems. My mother was happy with Reliant as well.

Hi it was a composite front door, plastic back door and 8 flat windows for 5500 or thereabouts triple glazed..
  • I'm not a fan of bio fold doors but the company we used do them, you can get an online quote first to which is useful. http://www.doubleglazingontheweb.co.uk/doors_quote_bifolddoors.php
