Npower... very confused

After years of trouble free service from npower why have they done this... Obviously I'll give them a call but thought I'd share this to see if anyone else has this issue.
Basically npower bill twice a year but you pay a DD monthly with the idea that you build up a credit for winter...
I've just had my February to August 2013 for a total of £440 and detailed on this is an increase to my monthly DD from £88 to £107 and at the same time refunding me the £98.34 i'm in credit by!?
Obviously I'd like to return the refund and adjust the DD to a lower amount...
This is a new one on me, not a major issue but something clearly wrong here...
PS Electricity only and no estimates here...
PPS I would expect to pay them £530 in Feb.

Just off phone to npower...
Apparently under the new system...
You get automatically refunded if your balance is over £60 on a billing date. How odd...
Why not just refund the excess?0 -
I wonder if they have a price rise plannedDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
