How is this area to live in? Are there good shopping facilites and safety in general. Would appreciate some views from people living in the area.

Upper Sunbury is extremely busy, there's a big Tesco there and a lot of smaller shops, fairly easy to get to Staines/Feltham for other large stores.
Lower Sunbury is definitely more up-market for housing.0 -
Lower Sunbury is really pretty, with a price tag to match, but there's not a lot there and if you don't drive it is kind of awkward for public transport to get to anywhere more useful.0

it depends on the micro level as to where is good/bad
"Sunbury" per se is isolated in terms of public transport
shops are in Staines or Kingston, at a push Walton will do. As others said a large Tesco is nearby0
