Just noticed my latest Qu1dco payment has gone through so I'll pay that off CC#1 :T It's great because I've been booking hotels and trains for work through it so it's definitely free money for me

I'd like to join in too

What i have already done today:
-Checked banking
-Emailed agency (I am Self-employed) about error in payment (they owe me £4)
-Put work washing (tea towels and dishcloths) on the line instead of in the tumble dryer
-Made my meal plan for the week, based on what i now have in the cupboard and fridge freezer
-Did the weekly shop
-Resisted buying extra cleaning products and used what i already have (Tesco have their Daisy products on half price offer)0 -

Morning folks. It's been a busy week in the world of the Witch so not been able to post much.
This weekend so far:- All meals from stores
- Fed and watered the chickens and collected eggs
- Paid another £100 deposit into business account - for Victorian costumes this time!
- Nipped into Mr S whilst in town and used Nectar points to pay for shopping, just had to add 42p towards it!
- Finished hand stitching DS3's housewarming present, just his friend's one to make now and they're moving in 3 weeks
- Still house/flat hunting on internet
Yet to do:- Go to the allotment to see what can be harvested
- Get into the sewing room and earn some money
- Update accounts
- Fll in paperwork for the accountant to claim a tax rebate
- Have an NSD
I think that's all for the weekend.

Happy Sunday all!
It's so great to see everyone taking care and doing the little things and appreciating them for the difference they make. I for one find it inspiring!
So great to hear that you've got your first Christmas present, Happytails!
Stitching witch- lovely to hear about your chickens. I would love chickens one day but it's just not the right time for me at the moment.
Lilian1977- thanks for the warm welcome!
Everyone- keep having a MSE weekend it's inspiring this newbie.

Morning,
This site seems to be playing up today; keeps losing my posts. If you write a long one it might be worth saving it elsewhere in case it eats your post when you click Post/Save. I'm getting some success through Opera, but none through Chrome. I have reported it to the tech elves.
Today will be dedicated to some more R&R.
The List:
Finish reading library books.
Check for missing elec/gas bill. Nope. Site is offline, again.
Deep clean fridge with bicarb, lemon and vinegar as it's playing up and it's only a couple of years old. Done, also turned down thermostat as the weather has cooled, thereby saving electricity.
Turn off electric alarm clock during the day, thereby saving electricity.
Practice typing using a different, free online website in readiness for next week's job assessment. (Link)
Run virus scan on my laptop using free Avast! software. (Link) Seem to have had a few problems accessing websites lately and want to rule out viruses etc. Been using this software for a couple of years and it seems pretty good for the 'price'. They ask you to re-register it every year, though. Huge saving on a £25 subscription to Norton or £15 to McAfee. All clear.
Free upgrade to Firefox 23.0. open Firefox>Help>About Firefox>Upgrades itself. Hopefully might cure a few glitches to save me doing it manually, thereby saving electricity.
Totally re-do my finances spreadsheet in light of some changes so that I can pay my debts on time.
Backup my finances spreadsheet in case of horrible IT incident. I really would advise everyone to do this. I used to work in IT and have seen soooo many cases of people who've lost important files and with no way of getting the files back. I just email myself my quite important files. My very important files I email them to myself and burn them to CD.
Checked credit on mobile.
Beef and roasted veg for lunch. Frugal roast vegetable recipe: Boil the following for a few minutes til soft: homegrown garlic, home pickled wild garlic, onions, onion tops, soft potatoes, very soft radishes, one limp mushroom, homegrown coriander (wilting), homegrown basil, black pepper. Tip veg into a baking tray and cover with a little oil and leftover passata/tinned tomatoes. Roast til delicious. Serve with one slice of beef each. Feel lucky that we have a hot meal. Save veg stock for making soup later.
Turn oven off five minutes before cooking time ends and let the food finish off in the residual heat.

Thanks for the thread DNM - hello to you all.
Problems posting here as well!
Hope you're all fine and dandy.
Today's list for the weekend and life was on a 'day off' yesterday and I enjoyed a lovely day with Mr Me who's hardly ever here as he lives 300 miles away.
Anyway.
List
Banks to check
CC to find new one - came in the post and disappeared.
Meals from newly replenished stores.
Walk/cycle today for 5 miles all over the day (did 5 yesterday)
Need to do a few HC's and hang up to dry
Try and Skype kids in france as can't get them on the phone and Skype = free
Sort out a work list for this week as I'm really busy and we've a big meeting.
Cook some stuff for the freezer. and portion up.
That's me today - nothing too onerous as I'm in tools down mode.
I think it will be a NSD as we did the shopping yesterday but we'll see.
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
