Anyone know how I find a reputable person/company to repair my LG washing machine. It is very loud when spinning and seems to have a small leak (not from pipes). It is about 3 years old.

Sounds like the bearings are possibly going..0

Have you got your original paperwork from when the machine was purchased? My LG came with a 5 year parts and labour guarantee - but I think it's one without bearings.
Mine developed a leak from the dispenser drawer. The input nozzles above the drawer can block, and they are very fiddley to sort out - mine had to have a new drawer assembly."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -
Many thanks - will try and find old paperwork0

No - checked paperwork only have a two year gurantee. We also have a small leak from soap dispenser and it does sound like the barings have gone/going. How can we find someone reputable to fix it? We are in London.0

Hi longbaygirl,
Try our repairs@ system
If you have any issue at all please let me know as we do actively monitor that even although it a service that is free to both customers and the repairers. Teh reason is that the guys have to adhere to our code of practise and, if they don't, we do take action.
Hope that helps.

Kwatt - sorry mate, but I'm not very impressed with 'repairs@system'
I contacted three companies via this site - all of whom were supposed to contact me within 24 hours. Only one did so, briefly, I could not talk at that moment and asked them to ring me back later in the day - they never did.
Anyone else know where I can find reputable washing machine repairs.0 -
That's really odd, can you tell me who the companies were as we do investigate these things?

I've just had Appliance Services (A-U-L) Ltd fix mine they are in Manchester and on 0161 339 6660 but mine was still under warranty and had just come to the end of it's fifth year.
Be warned it will be expensive potentially £200+ If the bearings have gone it's a major job and you have to dismantle virtually the whole machine. It is also possible you may need a new drum if the bearing have worn out the supporting rod off the back of the drum. The leaking could be coming from the soap tray this is also a known issue.
Mine today had a new Soap tray fitted by one of Appliance Services engineers.
He told me they charge £70 for call out then just parts there are no more labour charges on top and if they need to revisit as additional parts are required you just pay for the additional parts. Don't know how their parts price compare though as I was still under warranty.Cheers

Ops - sorry Kwatt - meant to say that these were the three from your site. BTW I also asked to be contacted by e-mail, which was completely ignored by the one company that did contact me - by phone.0
