Barr / Restrict outgoing calls.

I just got my second hand panasonic kx-tg1404e phones and am very happy so far with them.

I have set these as the call restricts:

07 (for mobiles and 070)
084 (for 0845, 0843 etc)
087 (for 0870, 0871 etc)
11 (for 118 etc)
09 (for premium calls)
123 (for speaking clock)

Are there any more number I should be restricting to keep a zero phone bill?

agreed, but I get free land line calls on my package, sky unlimited. so would not want to barr outgoing calls to 0208 for instance. (sorry I should of mentioned that). 01 im not too sure about. will research it.

  • You could add 100, so that calls cannot be made via the operator.

thank you good point, anyone could dail 100 and then ask the operater to put them through to a number, the bill will show a connection charge of about 50p plus the call charge :(

There is confusion over whether 0808 call are free. Some 0808 numbers are free and some are charged depending on who you call. Sky say they do not charge, but who you call will charge.

Can any one clear this up for me otherwsie I will have to add 0808 to the list? (my phone can only restrict 10 codes and they are quickly running out)

0800 and 0808 are free from landlines ( see http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/cut-cost-0800-mobiles), but they are charged if called from mobiles/voip etc.

    thanks.

    my current 10 restricted entries:

    07
    084
    087
    118
    157
    09
    10
    00
    12
    19

Im trying to add 1471 so no one can press 3 or 0 after retrieving a called number, thus avoiding the 12p connection charge, but have run out of spaces :(

    Current restrict list:

    07 (mobile)
    084 (ng local rate)
    087 (ng local rate)
    09 (premium)
    00 (international)
    1 (operator and service)

Means no access to 112 (had to remove it from emregancy numbers list to make "1" restricted), but stops all calls to 118, 192, 100, 1471, 157 (international operator), 123.

"1" also means no access to 150, 151 the sky customer support lines.

Also means no hidding caller id by starting a dailed number with 141.

    Can still dail 999, 0800, 0808, 0300, 0500, 02, 01.

Any more numbers that can be added?

Any numbers that cannot be called due to my list that i should be aware of?
