Barclays reclaiming advice please.

Options
Hello there,

I hope someone will be able to give me some advice.

I took out a loan in 2008 and only recently found out, when the loan term ended that I'd been paying PPI. I didn't want and recall very clearly saying that I didn't want PPI when i went to discuss this at the branch, I was employed by the local authority and had sick pay etc as well as some ore existing conditions that I knew would nullify any such insurance.

I've finished paying the loan and after reading the advice here i submitted a claim, rather than use a reclaim company.

Barclays have written to me asking me further questions. I initially recalled that i took the loan out at the bank however i seem to remember that i confirmed the loan on the phone over the weekend. Ive written to Barclays to give them the info they requested and posted it straight away but it's only just come to my mind that I'm sure it was confirmed on the phone. Do I rewrite to Barclays or does this look like terrible backtracking. I genuinely couldn't recall until tonight.

Will this irrevocably affect my claim?

Advice would be really appreciated.

Cheers.
