That's what I've always heard. Best to retweet the original tweet from the company running the comp rather than risk it & annoying the other person that you may cause to be disqualified!

I do not like how it comes up now. When I enter I sometimes accidentally tweet others tweets...and the way it was done used to be ok but now it seems to message them and tell them someone re tweeted it. I swear when I used to do them if I tweeted someones tweet that was an original it would tweet the original and not the person tweeting.Ask.. Believe.. Receive..

my twitter is set up to message me if someone retweets my tweet, so that's how they'll know. some will have this option turned on and others won't

I had this problem a few months ago and got some very helpful advice from the forum.
My understanding now is that if I retweeted the companys original tweet, then you would be ok to retweet that again.
However, if you retweet a personal tweet I make to the company then you disqualify us both.
If you are unsure who the tweet is from, company/individual, you just need to look at the picture and name to the left of the tweet.
