Ibiza - first holiday as couple

Hi,

Me (24) and my girlfriend (23) are looking to go to Ibiza for a week preferably between 31 August and 10 September 2013...

I have been to Ibiza several times when I was younger - stayed in the Sirenis Sea View Country Club in Port D'es Torrent, Portinax and Cala Longo so ideally I would like to stay somewhere else this time.

We would like to be close enough to San Antonio Bay and Ibiza Old Town to visit in the day and at night but don't want to be staying too close to the clubbing scene in San Antonio. At night we'd like to just stroll around few bars and restaurants.

Can anyone recommend a good area or hotel to stay in please - pref half board (or all inclusive dependent on price)?

Why not just stay in San Antonio Bay? Look at Tripadvisor to see what people are saying about the hotels but I would go for somewhere like the Fiesta Milord. The food at Fiesta hotels is good and it seems to get good reviews. The only other place is Es Cana which is on the other side of the island so not as well located for you. San Antonio Bay is away from the West End madness, but not as far as Port des Torrent.

Have you had a look at the ses savines, its inbetween san antonio and the bay. Has a beach a few steps from the hotel, have a look on trip advisor

Do not stay at milord.

I did two weeks along the lines of what u were after.

Absolutely hated the staff and guests...it was all inclusive hell I would say.

Luckily I rented a car for 2wks and we got out every day. Car was a rust bucket but we found some amazing spots.

Personally I loves las salinas and playa d'en bossa. The latter had an incredible vibe on the beach but so big u can get peace as well

There's plenty of hotels to choose from in San Antonio Bay. The Milord gets good reviews and I've always liked Fiesta hotels. Another place to look is Cala Gracio, walkable into S.A but quieter. The Tanit hotel is all-inclusive. Other well located hotels are the Gran Sol and the Abrat. My son and his mates stayed at the Abrat a couple of years ago and really liked it. It was a very reasonable price. Have a good look at Tripadvisor as there are dozens of hotels and apartments with reviews for that area.

Just come back from San Antonio Bay - we stayed at the Bellamar. Lovely hotel, decent food and not too far away from anything.

Just be careful of the nudists - scared the life out of me to turn round and there's a guy with his bits out, casual as you like! But I would return, not a clue which part of the bay it was in as never been before and was only there for a 2 day stay, but it was great.
