I swear by the babyliss big hair and VO5 Oomph Powder though, curls are still there the next day.0 -

knots can be sorted out with your fingers and conditioner, when you're in the shower (as knots most often seem to happen at the nape of the neck area, putting your hair in plaits overnight helps minimise knots too

Brush it in the evening and comb while wet

Try rope braiding your hair overnight. I wash my hair, dry it until it's still a little damp and then rope braid it (one on either side of my head). It's comfy to sleep in, you can 'pimp' the rope braids as an up do and it leaves beachy soft waves the next day. They're also incredibly simple to do (less than 2 mins and my mid back length hair is done) I can't use product on my die straight hair as it either goes greasy or crispy. The rope braids are the first things I've found that will curl it! Search for them on youtube.0

I have long (layered-ish) thick hair, and want a tousled, wavy sexy look, but I just dont know what to buy to get it.
I tried V05 tousled spray and that made it crispy. Does anyone else have any better ideas? Ideally I'd want to do it and not have to wash my hair the next day.
I just think it looks so cute! My hair also does look great when wet and drying, but then I brush it and it goes, so even general advice would be great.
Thank you
I had a similar issue to you, tried hair spray/mousse & then several curling sprays to try & make my hair look more "naturally, tamed wavy" instead of the simba do it is if i leave it be.
I then discovered this curling activator cream by twisted sista which is the best thing since sliced bread. I put it on when my hair is wet , and just leave it. It "tames" the natural waviness of my hair whilst drying but doesnt leave my hair looking crispy or like its got product on it.
This is the stuff :-

You can buy it in discount shops like B & M Bargains, Home Bargains, Super Savers & it costs £1.
