Audi Car service needed - any ideas for best price pls ?

Hi,

My Audi A3 needs a service - any recommendations pls ? I've read/heard so many horror stories about rip-off garages and dealers that I'm absolutely at a loss as to where to go.

I live in North London but work in Slough.

I got a quote from Nationwide Autocentre website for 'full service' inc air-con service & Gas recharge of £337.47 at their Slough branch which includes a 10% discount for booking online.

Any thoughts/feedback appreciated pls.

EDIT: just got a quote from a company called https://www.prestigecarservicing.com for 'Service B' at £219. (ex Vat) which apparently is approx 33% cheaper than most service quotes. They collect your car and take it away then drop it back - anyone ever used them ? Must be scary watching a stranger drive your car away - yikes !!

How old is the car & how many miles has it done? What work does Audi recommend you have done? Are service stamps of value to you/the car? If it were my car I'd probably take it to a local independent VW/Audi/Skoda place. I know if no-one who has used prestigecarservices but a few who have looked and decided against it. You also have to consider how close the garage is should you have cause to return to them.
