PPI Claiming

Hi,

I successfully reclaimed my PPI on a Lombard Direct loan some 3 years ago (it took around 2 years to get it back!) and now I'm just wondering about the older loans and credit cards I have had.

What is the time limit (if any) I have to make these claims? Is it from taking out the policy or from the policy ending? I've always had PPI on my loans, some I asked for it however believe these are mis-sold since the policy wasn't explained to me or even valid (I've been self employed for a while), and also because the front loaded interest wasn't explained either.

Also, I do not have any policy documents, account numbers etc. for some of the loans, specifically my Egg loan. Are Egg still around? Would this just be a case of writing to them and asking for information they hold about me?

Also, the other one which concerns me is the "Household Bank" which changed it's name about 3 times while I had that "loan" (which turned out to be a credit card not a loan). Could I get the PPI on that back?

I appreciate that a lot, if not all of my questions have probably been answered already however I searched but there was just too much to get through so hope some nice person (or people) will either point me to the right topics or answer the questions posed :)

Many thanks in advance.
Rich
