You can troll all you like, you have nothing to add to this forum except novelty value, please continue.
You only have 3 weeks left before school opens again and you progress to year 2, then you will have to prove you can wipe your own bottom, that'll sort your DIY skills.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

As necessary I sharpen my TCT and HSS router bits with a fine diamond slipstone lubricated with water.
Lightly honing (only the flat faces) with great care does indeed restore their cutting ability. If the cutter has more than one edge hone each edge an equal number of times.
My 19mm double flute must have been sharpened at least four times.
If you sharpen bearing guided cutters remove the bearings before using the slipstone.Forgotten but not gone.0 -

I do exactly the same and take off all the resin build up on the cutters with cellulose thinners. For straight cutters (single and double flutes) I use the ones with replaceable cutters(throw away) that are reversible, work out good value for money
I don't even bother to try and sharpen my own TCT saw blades because for one it would take forever and two in trying to do so it would take the set off the blade.Far better to send the blades away for a company to sharpen.0 -

It doesn't if you simply sharpen the rake face. Yes the tips are staggered, or as you correctly say set, but they can be cleaned up as above, and it doesn't affect the set greatly, just minutely reduces the blades dia.
It really doesn't take long, and as they are much more costly than a router blade, I find it worthwhile.
I don't know if it's a moot point anyway, as I'd guess more are thrown away with chipped teeth/teeth missing, than ever get resharpened?;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

I get my saw blades sharpened and if there are teeth missing they charge about £2-00 a tooth to replace so not the end of the world Bri.
I don't have time to sharpen blades if I'm honest, takes me 4 hrs to change 16 blades on my 4 sided moulder, mind numbingly boring job.

Yes of course, but I don't think the average poster has that sort of kit, so I'm coming at it from the occasional user point of view, not pro/semi pro.
;)
Me?, I chuck blunt router cutters, and take great care with circ saw blades.
My 2 chop saws are still sharp after years of careful use, cheersI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
