Virgin Cards After Leaving MBNA

Just wanted to gauge opinion. As we all know, Virgin Cards will be seperating away from MBNA in the new year, and we also know that traditionally MBNA (and Virgin as a result) have been quite liberal with giving out good balance transfer offers to existing customers.

I've got a friend who has a balance on an LTSB card that's being paid off, he also has an MBNA card (non-Virgin), and a Virgin card. Neither have a balance on, he wants to ditch one but isn't sure which to kill off, because he plans to transfer from the LTSB once it's 0% ends in about 9 months time.

Thoughts? Theories? Or just too early to tell?

i closed a Virgin-branded card, and kept an MBNA Platinum Plus.

but is there a good reason why the chap shouldn't keep both, and just see what happens with Virgin?
