Good base location / hotel for Chessington and Peppa Pig World

Hi

Can anyone recommend a good base location and hotel for a family for our trip to Peppa Pig World and Chessington.

Or would we be better just concentrating on one park this trip and enjoy the nearby attractions in Winchester, Portsmouth, Southamption if we go to Peppa Pig World

or

Perhaps a visit into London if we just did Chessington?

The two locations are about 70 odd miles apart, so probably best to stay near each one after visiting the parks, rather than looking for a hotel along the way. I don't know about Peppa Pig World but a day at Chessington will be tiring and you just want somewhere nearby afterwards. You could look at Premier Inns or Travelodges near the parks or in the case of Chessington there is a Holiday Inn hotel at the entrance to Chessington and as you say a quick train journey to London. With young children you could go to the Museums near South Kensington (Science Museum is great for children) and then walk 20 minutes or so to Kensington Gardens to the Diana Memorial Peter Pan playground for children.

Same for Peppa Pig- it'll be a fairly full day, there are several hotels within a short drive, either on the edge of the forest or heading more towards Southampton town centre.

Were you thinking of a day at each or woud you have a day between them?

You could potentially do one park , stay near by then have a half way day before doing the other? Depends on your budget and time frames I guess! Also bear in mine both will be incredibly busy during school hols so avoid if at all possible, or get there in plenty of time for opening.

We went to Peppa pig worked early this year, stayed in jurys inn in Southampton who offer family rooms :) breakfast is payable for the adults children eat free.

Chessington has a Holiday inn just outside of the gates (turn right off top of head) however out of the 2 I would suggest Peppa pig world. Chessington has a few rides out at the moment and v long ques.
