Coming off JSA

A friend of mine is coming off JSA she has been offered employment role but she won't get paid 4 weeks after as that is how the place she is working for operates.
Will the job centre help her in anyway? She will be getting to the place of work by a bus due to distance involved it is about £4 daily cost for this alone but with her not having any savings thinks she could struggle after first 2 weeks is there anything help she can seek from job centre and pay them back on first pay day?

Has she been claiming JSA for more than 13 weeks? If so she can get what is called back to work credit which is worth £40/week. She will have to ask for the form when she signs off and return it as soon as she can. https://www.gov.uk/return-to-work-credit/overview - DWP do not tell people about this. Scheme ends in Oct this year.0

I dont think so.
I recently ended my JSA claim and started work, and i got no help at all. I had to ask my mum for £50 to get me to work for the first few weeks.
In Work Credit is for those people who have not been working due to illness/disability, not those who have been on JSA.
'If you’ve been claiming benefit you could get Return to Work Credit if:
-You’ve been unable to work for at least 13 weeks because of an illness or disability
-You’re going back to work, starting a new job or self-employment'.0 -
She went this morning and the advisor has given her a bus pass for the 30 days, which is pretty awesome for her.0
