I remember nochex from about ten years ago, processes all transactions as either a debit or a refund from/to a debit card.

Little used these days, didn't even know they still existed.

Either way, remember there'll be no s75 protection from your CC as you're using an intermediary (this would be the same with PayPal), so look into the protection nochex themselves offer.

Is it for a substantial amount? If so, I'd probably feel safer paying them by card, PayPal, or directly into their bank account.

no it's only a small amount but it's the only payment method offered. I'd never even heard of them til tonight

NoChex is fine. They are the UK version of Paypal but not as famous and are a bit cheaper to use. They have been around for years. A charity I am involved with still uses them.

    Yes, no issues with nochex.

Was once the flavour of the month, especially as a competitor to paypal. Fell out of favour when they changed their terms (iirc something like they were going to charge account holders for non-use or something)

I used Nochex for ages when I was selling lots on eBay several years back. Never had any problems with them (and I can't say the same for Paypal. Despite it's ubiquity, it has very extreme t&cs buyers and sellers alike should treat them with utmost caution).

In short, Nochex is certainly no worse a payment option than Paypal.
