Experian and Electoral Roll

I checked my credit file with experian, and was told I had two problems, one being I'm not on the electoral roll!
I am, I postal vote and probably opted out of the edited (public) register.
I,ve had letter regarding electoral registration renewal recently so should still be on the roll.
How do I get experian to update this?
Credit rating is fair at moment but might improve more if I get it fixed?

Are you registered on the electoral role at your current address?
I was tripped up lately because I've recently moved and I was still registered at my mum's house.
I thought the mere fact that you were on the electoral role was enough, but after speaking to Equifax they use the information to help confirm that you are living at a permanent fixed address, so its vital that your address is correct.0 -
Been there over 5 years and get my postal votes sent there??:j Debt-Free-Wannabe! :jDeclutter/Ebay/Savings0

That's odd. They've obviously made a mistake.

The Experian postal addresses are listed here, if you prefer to get in touch that way: http://www.experian.co.uk/consumer/contact-us/
Have you checked your reports with Equifax and Noddle? If you haven't used their services before you can get a free 30 day trial with Equifax and Noddle is free forever.
I think its a good idea to check your details with the other two agencies just in case. My credit files are completely different depending on which agency you ask! Credit referencing in general seems to be riddled with misinformation. A flawed system if you ask me!0 -
Sorry to hear this. If you drop us a note using the 'contact us' page above we'll investigate. Might be an issue with the format of the address. I'm sure we can quickly put things right for you.

Same happened with me and probably was down to address format - sometimes I come up as "Flat X, X Street Name" and other time "X/X Street Name".
I contacted all CRAs and think I provided a copy of the register form and everything was updated quickly.0 -
Checked addresses and yes my council insist on using an address different to my postal address, how do I notify this to experian? Do they accept a not of address used on register?
Huge complaint getting made to council to! Stupid people!!?:j Debt-Free-Wannabe! :jDeclutter/Ebay/Savings0
