I am just about to start my first contract role through an ageency. I have decided to be paid via an umbrella company but have not made any choices regarding whicho one etc.

I am wanting to know if anyone has any advice on them and also can you get policies that will cover you while you are on contracts ?

This one is initially a 2 month contract but if do well its the usual roll on etc.

Looking for accident unemployment and sickness and redundancy or just end of contract income payment protection.

To sum up I need something that will make sure my mortgage is paid as I dont want to wait 39 weeks for help on dole etc and if i can get it to pay a wee bit extra to help pay for the other insurance policies tied to home owning then that would be a big help. I would prefer something that started straight away without mortgage company missing a payment etc

You are not normally granted cover for unemployment when the contract ends as you know its going to happen.

You could get income protection without unemployment cover (known as PHI). This is not work dependent.
