Hi,
I have a dell inspiron 1300 laptop about a year old. I bought from ebay a tv card , its a pcmcia . It wont fit in the slot . I tried my mates wifi pcmcia card and that wont fit either .
Does the dell have a special slot and if so what is it called?

Thanks in advance

Mark

It's Expresscard 34 - google it for more info.

    Thanks,
I think it could be expresscard54 as the bit that comes out is L shaped and the nearest size.

Problem now is that if i put expresscard 54 in ebay or ebayer i get very few results. I wanted to connect a ps2 to the laptop and the pcmcia tv card I have just bought would have been ideal if it had fitted.

Any ideas where to find a phono type input for this please?

Dell laptops use a PCI Express Card slot. Technically, it is better than PCMCIA (People Can't Memorise Computer Industry Acronyms), but worryingly still not very well supported, even though it has been around for a long time in computing terms.

That is an adaptor not a tuner. You would need something like this.

Thanks. Are you sure a ps2 would connect to that though?

Sorry I read your first post regarding a 'tv card' and not your second post where the PS2 was mentioned. No go for the PS2 with that USB tuner.

I would think so but I have no experience of a PS2 and there is not too much techie info on that ebay page.
