    It's not a FINE!!!
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • Ok what should I do about the new invoice ? Just ignore ..! Or appeal asking for a POPLA code like the other fee I am fighting?
  • I would say - definitely appeal again for the new one - if they screw it up, you can lodge more complaints.

If enough people in your position complain to the DVLA and the BPA, they might wake up and realise what a bunch of absolute selfish, stupid and waste of matter these PPCs actually are.

But I doubt it as the DVLA receives money from BPA members.

    Thank you!
What do I do now about the new fine ?

Start a new thread for the second charge, as it will get horribly complicated if we try to help you with two different set of facts / charges in the same thread. Although you do also need to do some reading around the forum and familiarise yourself with the process.
I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.
  • Interestingly I have just received another letter in the post today from Debt recovery plus stating I owe them £150, this however quotes a different parking charge notice from the first one, although same date of primary one I am appealing! They really need to sort out there communication department!
Do you advise emailing or sending the formal letter response for the first issue? Thanks again

Both to be certain. Email will give you evidence that you've sent it, then snail mail with (free) proof of posting certificate via your local PO will provide extra evidence.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Personally I would cover it all with the letter suggested by Daisy and just add a paragraph:

'In addition, I have received random letters from Debt Recovery Plus mentioning ticket ref xxxxxxxx and also another letter from yourselves, with a third number xxxxxxxx. How many parking charges are you alleging you a re chasing me for and what are the dates and details? Obviously, you need to clarify this to me and I require that you treat this as my appeal for ALL of them (i.e. I have a permit and you have made no loss) and I require a POPLA code for each and every one.'

Head the complaint letter up (near the date) with 'your refs' and state all three references there so that the letter covers them all.
