Would you keep left over bathroom tiles?

Have had my bathroom completely tiled and have 5 full boxes each 1sq mt plus 10 loose tiles left over. Now the pessimist in me says keep them just in case but what's the chances of me needing them? Please tell me to put the full boxes on ebay! Then I can keep the 10 spare ones. Have you ever kept that many tiles 'just in case'.

Well first off who said you needed so many boxes....5 sm over is a big miscalculation
Most tile places will refund unused boxes with receipt0 -
Had them too long unfortunately, bought them in a sale. We overestimated.0

I've kept countless spare tiles over the years but have never once had to use one.
You are unlikely to break more than 10 tiles unless you have such a severe incident that your bathroom is destroyed anyway.
Put the spare 10 under the bath or in a shed and Ebay the 5 complete boxes for collection only. Don't expect to get much for them. Consider Freecycle or Gumtree too.0 -

Must be one hell of a size bathroom to over estimate by 5 sm......do you live in a mansion0 -
I might be tempted to just keep the ten, but then if you need to replace tiles that need cutting there is always the chance that some might break while being cut. In our last house we replaced the windows and the tiles in our bathroom window came off and most smashed, luckily we had a box over so we were able to replace them instead of redoing the whole room.0

I'd keep the 10 (+ maybe 1 box) & get rid of the rest. When we replaced a radiator, we had to change 4 tiles as the pipes were in a different position & we also used a couple when we put in a new shower bar-upright (or whatever it's called
). 0 -
I would keep the 10 plus 1 box. However, considering that you are unlikely to get much for them on ebay or similar, have you considered if they would 'go' anywhere else in your house (like a utility room for example)?YNWA
