Yes, and all dogs can become robots that once trained are perfect forever and never once screw up in the years spent living in a place. :undecided
You're talking about your dogs REPEATEDLY scratching at the glass, not a one off. And if it was a one off then equally that's not wear and tear either. Its really not hard to stop the dogs asking to come inside. You either leave the door ajar so they can get in, go outside with them or wait for them to do their business then let them back in.
No wonder landlords allowing pets are so few and far between...0 -
Glazed units are not enormously expensive, especially if they are standard sizes. To avoid any protracted debate and this becoming a discussion on 'why was so much deducted from my deposit/DPS debate', I'd recommend you are open with the landlord on what you are doing. So many glitches, so little time...0

We have a fully glazed back door which became misty, a replacement panel was about £80.0

You aren't an awfull person, but you do have to either pay or pepair damage done by the dog. Years ago I rented a house and soon after got two kittens....they basically trashed the place...carpets, blinds,...anything going. Personally I would never have expected any deposit back even though my LL was really cool and prepared to give it me...if anything I was offering him money for anything that the place needed to bring it back to original state when I walked through the door. ....that's only fair.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Is it a upvc door? If so to polish out scratches to the frame you need a professional to come out, it isn't something you can do yourself and if left the scratches will become stained, I say this from experience.0

Try polishing out the scratches with some jewellers rouge..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0
