How much do people pay each month for electric. Npower sent me an email to say they will charge 55 quid a month on direct debit. When I spoke on the phone I am sure they said 37 quid direct debit.

I'm now submitting monthly reads to NPower and received my latest bill online today.
Cost of electricity for me for July was £38.50
Gas was £15 as I hardly use any at the moment (shower daily, boiler pilot light constantly, gas hob once or twice a week)
My electricity use is constant throughout the year, it's the gas that shoots up over 4x once I click the central heating on in the autumn.
My DD is £91 even though I'm currently £60 in credit so I'll be having words with NPower in a month or two to get them to reduce it as it should be in the £75 ballpark.
I use around 2750 kWh of electricity a year.0 -
Impossible to answer without knowing how you heat and hot water the property-there is no 'average'.
For an all-electric house, either would be very low indeed. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
