Early exit fees and moving house

Just starting research into what to switch to when my edf deal runs out on 30 September. I'm thinking of moving in the next 1-2 years, so I was just wondering what happens if you move house during a fixed price deal - typically do you have to pay an early exit fee?

Yes. But is £30 or £60 really a signifcant sum compared to deposits, taxes, removals, carpets, paint, curtains....?
  • It is likely you are on Blue September 2013, as am I. This has no exit fees. If you do not switch tariff, then of course you will be on their standard tariff, again with no exit fees.
  • Hi thanks.

Yes I am on Blue price promise, which I know has no exit fees, but some potential deals I'm looking to switch to do not. I'm definitely not staying on the standard tariff, so the question is whether I switch to a deal with an early exit fee.

Of course the fee is insignificant compared to other moving costs, but if it has to be paid on a house move, it may influence whether I choose to switch to a deal with an early exit fee.

If you move house you void your contract without penalty-on any tariff.
    ETC's do not apply.

Macman has answered correctly; I suggest you refrain from answering without the knowledge to.
And how ridiculous to justify the cost by the price of those other items!
